Main Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp. shortening
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1/2 1sp. salt
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 C carrots. diced
  • 1/3 Cup or so of Endameme beans
  • 1/3 Cup or so of Red Peppers, diced

Top (biscuit) Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 can water

Directions:

In a large frying pan on medium heat, fry onions in shortening until tender. Add meat; fry until brown. Add tomato soup and water.  Add carrots, endememe beans, red peppers. Let cook for 20 mins or so, then add the biscuit portion below.

Top (biscuits): Mix shortening with dry Top Biscuit Ingredients; Once mixed, add milk. Drop by spoonsful over meat mixture in frying pan.  Keep frying pan covered once the biscuits have been dropped in to allow them to ‘bake’.
